Mobtown Modern

Rite of Swing

May 12, 2010, 8 p.m. @ Metro Gallery

For nearly 100 years, Igor Stravinsky's riot-inducing icon The Rite of Spring has stood as a pillar of modern composition. Time to shake things up a bit. Tonight we present a new arrangement of Stravinsky's Rite for modern jazz ensemble. Created especially for Mobtown Modern by award-winning jazz arranger Darryl Brenzel, the "jazz Rite" may not incite any riots but is sure to go down in history.

Tickets are $10, general admission and $5 for Contemporary Museum members and students with a valid ID.
