Why is it that some of the most intoxicating experiences only happen once in a blue moon? Just like catching a glimpse of Halley's comet, the chance to hear all 14 Sequenzas in a row doesn't come around that often. Written over the course of Berio's entire career, the Sequenzas— a series of pieces for solo instruments—stand alone as a modern compositional achievement for their devilish difficulty as much as Berio's sensitive understanding of each instrument.
Tickets are $10, general admission and $5 for Contemporary Museum members and students with a valid ID.
