Saturday, December 12, 2009, 7 p.m. @ Penn Station
For the past 3 years, Phil Kline's boombox parade piece Unsilent Night has become known as "Baltimore's newest holiday tradition" (Baltimore Sun), under the direction of Brian Sacawa. This year, our favorite yuletide ambient flash mob will be dropping jewels on the soundscape of our city as part of the Mobtown Modern series. This is a takeover, not a makeover. Our parade route will end at the Metro Gallery where you can warm up at BOOM!, an after-party/concert featuring holiday cheer and compositions for boombox and live instruments.
This is a free event!
Join in and be a part of Baltimore's best boombox Christmas parade four years running! All you need is a boombox and some holiday cheer (though we'll accept grinches on a case-by-case basis). Simply show up at the Male/Female sculpture in front of Penn Station no later than 6:45 p.m. and take to the streets with us!
